A virtual event is an interactive platform that takes place online bringing together a large group of people who share common interests or expertise.

Please make sure to quit any other chat/communication applications on your system (e.g., Skype, Microsoft Meetings, Zoom, or WebEx) and request the same to the other calling party as it may hinder the vFairs chat experience.

Registration is open to Employers, Members/Candidates of CFA Society Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco.

For Employers: All Employers will be hosted this year for free.

CFA Society Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco Members: The cost is $15 but members must reach out to info@cfala.org (Los Angeles), info@cfaoc.org (Orange County), admin@cfass.org (Sacramento), staff@sandiego.cfasociety.org (San Diego), or info@cfa-sf.org (San Francisco) to request the discount code. Utilizing the discount code will drop the price down to $15. Members of CFA Society Los Angeles do NOT need a discount code to register.

Active CFA Candidates within California: The cost is $20 but candidates must reach out to info@cfala.org (Los Angeles), info@cfaoc.org (Orange County), admin@cfass.org (Sacramento), staff@sandiego.cfasociety.org (San Diego), or info@cfa-sf.org (San Francisco) to request the discount code. Utilizing the discount code will drop the price down to $20. Candidates should contact the society that is closest to you.

Investment Professionals: Investment Professionals may attend this event for $80

Yes. We will have a virtual Exhibit Hall. Attendees will be able to view information about companies, chat with exhibitors, drop off a resume, and potentially schedule 1:1 Interviews. Exhibitors may not be able to man their booths for the entirety of the event but messages and resumes will be sent to them after the event.

No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate in this virtual event. You only need to have access to the Internet.

This is an online event. You do not have to travel to any specific location to become a part of the event. You can participate from anywhere you have Internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices. On November 1st at 10am, please head to the main page: https://cfasocietylosangeles.vfairs.com/en/ and click login.

You can use your laptop, desktop, or any mobile device to login to the event as the platform is compatible with all devices.

Yes. As an employer, your registration is directly through vFairs and you will receive a confirmation directly from them. As a Job Seeker, you will receive an email confirmation from CFA Society Los Angeles. If you are a member of CFA Society San Francisco your confirmation will come from them. Two weeks prior to the start of the event, you will receive an email from CFA Society Los Angeles notifying you to create an account on the Virtual Career Fair Site.

Your login information is the email address you provided during registration. Please head to the main page: https://cfasocietylosangeles.vfairs.com/en/ and click login. To log in, simply use your email.

It is not a requirement to participate. However, some people at the event might request you for a video chat, in which case, you might want to have a functional webcam and microphone.

The event will remain open for the day and some content/discussions may be recorded, but you will not be able to participate in the live meeting benefits on other days or times.

All Panels/Speakers will be recorded and available for a limited time. Currently, we do not plan to record the roundtable discussions.

Yes, you simply log in again and enjoy any time that is convenient for you. Make sure to check the agenda and schedule some time in your day to attend your favorite panel or roundtable discussion.

You can join the webinar by logging into the event and navigating to the auditorium where you will be able to click on the join button to get in the live session.

The roundtables are an opportunity for employers to informally meet attendees, share insights into their company’s culture, and discuss their hiring practices and procedures. Employers will host a 20 Minutes roundtable at no additional cost. All Attendees are invited to join and participate.

Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund of your Virtual Career Development Expo and Job Fair registration, you must submit, in writing, your request to cancel to info@cfala.org no later than October 31st, 2024 at 9am PT, and have not created an account on the vFairs Site. Accounts created on the vFairs site are not eligible for refunds due to the access to companies and resume drop off. A full refund will be issued via your method of payment (if you paid by credit card, a refund will be provided via the credit card).

vFairs is SOC2 compliant, which means your data is secure, as they do not use your registration details for any marketing or advertisement purposes.

This depends on the kind of protocols or restrictions your office network is under. If it does block content on the site, you may want to try using a VPN or changing your internet service provider. Do not worry about this unless you know you will be, or presently are, facing problems of this nature.
